How To Block Ads In Android Smartphones Using Private DNS

In android smartphones, most of the apps show unwanted ads and pop-ups. It may be irritating to the user. There are a lot of methods to block these ads from showing up. Most used method is by using third party ad-blocking apps. You can download apps such as Adblock Plus, AdGuard and AdLock to block ads on your smartphone. Most of these apps need root permission for blocking ads effectively. But there is an another method for blocking the ads which uses the private dns.

Smartphones with Android 9 or later comes with Private DNS feature. This feature can be used for blocking the ads. The biggest advantage of this feature is that you don't need to download any app on your smartphone and you get system-wide ad-blocking without root access. Adguard dns is used for blocking malicious ads and pop-ups.

Steps to set up Adguard DNS

  • Make sure your device runs on Android 9 or later.
  • Go to Settings>Network&Internet Settings>Private DNS
  • In Oneplus devices, Settings>Wifi&Internet>Private DNS
  • For Samsung Galaxy devices Settings>Connections>More Connection Settings>Private DNS
  • If you cannot find the Private DNS option, then simply search Private DNS in Settings search bar.

Private DNS

  • Then select Private DNS provider hostname and enter the hostname of DNS provider as 'dns.adguard.com'.
  • For family protection mode(for blocking adult content) enter the hostname of DNS provider as 'dns-family.adguard.com'.
  • Hit Save and exit from the Private DNS menu. That's it. Now your device will block most of the ads and pop-ups.

Nubia Z17 Mini with dual-rear camera setup launched in India at Rs. 19,999

ZTE Nubia has launched its Nubia Z17 Mini smartphone with dual rear camera setup in India. The device is priced at Rs.19.999 and will be available via Amazon from June 12.

The Nubia N17 Mini features a 5.2-inch Full HD display with 1920 x 1080pixels resolution. The screen also has a pixel density of 424ppi and it comes with Corning Gorilla Glass protection. The smartphone is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 652 Octa-Core 64 bit processor coupled with 4GB RAM. How To Hack Any Android Game On Rooted Android Smartphone

  • First you need to install root file manager like ‘Root Explorer’ from Playstore and grant root access to the file manager via Superuser.
  • Open the root explorer and go to data folder inside the data folder (Data>>Data) from the Root folder.
  • Then you can see data folders of each application installed in your phone. For hacking Tennis 3D game, go to the ‘com.cg.tennis’ folder.
  • All your game data will be saved inside ‘shared_prefs’ folder. Inside the ‘shared_prefs’ folder open ‘com.cg.tennis.xml’ file in text editor. There you can see different variables and values relating to the game data.
  • For increasing the money you need to find the ‘player_sum_coining’ and change its value to a higher number.
          For example, find the following line in the file.

          <int name =”player_sum_coining” value=”xxxx”/>

         Here “xxxx” will be the money you have in your game. In order to change the money edit 
          the value as shown below(increase the value to a higher number).

  • Then save the file and exit the root explorer. Now open Tennis 3D game and goto store and check your money in your account. It will be 5000000.

BlackBerry to launch its first Android smartphone Priv in India on January 28

BlackBerry Priv androidBlackBerry is all set to launch its first Android-powered smartphone, BlackBerry Priv, in India on January 28. BlackBerry has first unveiled Priv in October last year. The smartphone went on sale in the US and Canada in November. BlackBerry Priv was priced at $699 in the US (approximately Rs 47,000) and the price in India is also expected to be the same.

Priv combines the best of BlackBerry security and productivity with the expansive mobile application ecosystem available on the Android platform. The company has sent invites for the launch event scheduled to be held in New Delhi on January 28.

The phone comes with a 5.4-inch display and is powered by a 1.8 GHz hexa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 SoC coupled with 3GB RAM. It also comes with 32GB of internal memory which is expandable up to 2TB by using microSD card. The phone only supports single SIM. The 4G handset runs Android Lollipop OS and sports an 18MP rear camera and a 2MP front-facing camera. The handset is backed by a 3,410 mAh battery.
