HTC launches One A9, Desire 828 dual sim smartphones in India

HTCHTC has launched its two new smartphones, HTC One A9 and HTC Desire 828, in India. However the company has not revealed the pricing of the smartphones yet.

The HTC One A9 features a 5-inch Full HD AMOLED display with Corning Gorilla Glass 4 protection. It is powered by a 64-bit octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 617 processor coupled with 3GB RAM. It comes with 32GB internal storage which can be expanded up to 2TB by using microSD card. The company also launched 16GB storage version with 2GB RAM.

The smartphone features a 13MP rear camera with optical image stabilization, autofocus and dual tone LED flash. It also features a 5MP front-facing camera. The camera supports 1080p video recording.

HTC One A9 smartphone is among the first outside of Google's own Nexus line to feature company's Marshmallow software at launch. It also features a fingerprint sensor.

The device is backed by a non-removable 2,150mAh Li-ion battery with fast charging feature. It claims to deliver up to 16 hrs of talk time and up to 432 hrs of standby time on 3G network. The smartphone is available in gray, sliver, gold and garnet red colour options.

Coming to the HTC Desire 828 dual sim, it features a 5.5-inch Full HD (1080x1920p) IPS display. It is powered by a 1.5GHz octa-core MediaTek MT6753 processor coupled with 2GB RAM. The smartphone comes with 16GB internal storage which can be expanded up to 2TB via microSD card.

The handset sports a 13MP rear camera with LED flash, Optical Image Stabilization, BSI sensor and full-HD video recording. It also features a 4MP front-facing camera for taking selfies. It is the first phone in HTC's Desire range to offer Optical Image Stabilization.

The smartphone packs a 2,800mAh battery and it runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop OS. The connectivity options of the phone include 3G, 4G, GPRS/ EDGE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, GPS/ A-GPS, Micro-USB, and Bluetooth.

The company has not mentioned any details about the pricing or availability of the smartphones yet. But it is expected to announce them soon.
