Videocon announced Windows 10 powered TVs starting at Rs 39,990

Videocon in partnership with Microsoft announced the launch of world’s first Windows 10 powered TV. Videocon’s Windows powered TVs will be available in 32-inch and 40-inch sizes and will run Windows 10 Home edition.

In these changing times, we realised the needs of our consumers of having easy access to technology at their convenience and therefore we designed world’s first hybrid TV cum PC. With this TV, students can now easily create & share school assignments, home makers can curate and share recipes with the world, and professionals can work outside of their offices,” said Akshay Dhoot, Head of Technology and Innovation, Videocon.

The 32-inch version features a 720p HD display. It is powered by Intel’s Bay Trail based quad-core chip clocked at 1.33GHz coupled with 2GB RAM and 16GB expandable storage. This model comes with 2 HDMI, 2 USB, VGA and audio I/O port.

The 40-inch version features a Full HD dispay. It is also powered by the same Intel’s Bay Trail based 1.33GHz quad-core chip coupled with 2GB RAM and 16GB expandable storage. It comes with 4 HDMI, 3 USB, VGA and audio I/O ports.

To enhance the experience, Videocon is also offering WiFi and screencast features. Users can switch between TV and PC by simply choosing the desired source.

The 32-inch LED TV will be available for Rs 39,990 while the 40-inch model will be available with a price tag of Rs 52,990.
