Asus has revealed a new smartphone called Asus Pegasus 2 Plus X550. It is successor to the Pegasus X002. The company also got the name Asus from the word Pegasus.So the Pegasus series is finely built by the company. The Pegasus 2 Plus X550 is amid range smartphone. The smartphone features a Snapdragon 615 SoC coupled with 3GB of RAM. It also has a 5.5inch 1080p display, 13MP camera on the rear, 8MP front facing camera and 3030mAh battery. The phone has a dual SIM capability and it runs on the latest Android 5.1.1 Lollipop with Asus Zen UI.The phone is a combination of high and midrange specs. The smapdragon 615 SoC is not good performer. Xiaomi Mi4i is also powered by the snapdragon 615 SoC. But the 3GB RAM and camera takes the phone to a higher level. Asus Pegasus 2 Plus X550 will be available in Gold and White color. Asus has not revealed the price yet.
The Asus Pegasus X002 has a 5inch IPS display with 720x1280 resolutions and 294 pixel density. It also features Mediatek MT6732 chipset, quad core 1.5GHz Cortex- A53 CPU, Mali T760MP2 GPU, 2GB RAM, 16GB internal memory, 8MP rear camera, 5MP front camera and 2500mAh battery.
In India Asus is well known by the Zenfone series. Zenfones has a good position in the smartphone market. Asus has never launched Pegasus series phone in the Indian smartphone market.
