Asus Zenfone Max launched with 5000mAh battery at Rs 9,999

Asus Zenfone Max smartphoneAsus has launched the ZenFone Max smartphone in India priced at Rs 9999. The pre-bookings for the ZenFone Max have already started on Amazon.in and Flipkart.com. The phone will be released on January 14. It will also be available at ASUS Exclusive Stores and other retailers.

The Asus Zenfone Max features a 5.5-inch HD IPS display with a resolution of 1280x720 pixels and a pixel density of 267ppi. The display offers wide 178 degree viewing angles.

The handset is powered by a 1GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor coupled with 2GB LPDDR3 RAM. The smartphone comes with 16GB internal storage which can be expandable up to 64GB via microSD card. The smartphone runs on Android Lollipop OS.

The ZenFone Max sports a 13MP rear PixelMaster camera with laser auto-focus and f/2.0 aperture. It also features a 5MP front facing camera. The device features 4G LTE with download speeds up to 150Mbps. The dual-SIM smartphone includes other connectivity options such as 3G, Wifi, Bluetooth, GPS and microUSB connectivity.

The phone packs a long-lasting 5000mAh lithium-polymer battery. The device delivers up to 37.6 hours of talk time on 3G, 32.5 hours of Wi-Fi web browsing and 38.1 days of standby time. The ZenFone Max can also be used as a power bank to charge other devices by connecting the device to ZenFone Max using a USB OTG cable.
