Swipe launches Swipe Junior smartphone for kids at Rs 5,999

Swipe Technologies on Children’s Day has launched Swipe Junior smartphone priced at Rs 5,999. Swipe Junior is especially for kids and it has very attractive features like Parents operated control systems which keeps track of kids and can monitor kids activities on the internet by browser blocking and also keeps track of which app kid is using. The smartphone is suitable for children aged between 5-15 years.

The Swipe Junior features a 4.5-inch Display. It is powered by a 1.3 GHz dual core processor coupled with 512MB RAM and 4GB ROM. It sports a 2MP rear camera and a 0.3MP front-facing camera.

The parents operated control system lets parents keep a check of contact lists in the phone and limit internet browsing, apps and game usage. The geo-positioning feature helps tracks users movements and limit them to ‘geo-fence area. Parents can also mark safe and danger zones on the phone to make children stay within limits.

The 3G smartphone runs on Android KitKat 4.4 (KitKat). Besides 3G, it also supports wi-fi and bluetooth. The device packs a 1900mAh battery.

The Swipe Junior also comes with a customized UI, pre-loaded with apps for kids and on-cloud connectivity. The company says that it is shock-proof and durable. It is available in blue and pink colours in the e-commerce websites like flipkart.
